For one of our winter team-building activities, the Allure Pest Solutions crew headed to Carindale to try our hand at archery with Rogue Archery.
After lunch and a safety briefing, we were shooting targets in no time. We spent some time working on our technique, adjusting our sights, and getting used to the bows to improve our aim. With plenty of help from our fantastic instructor, we were soon ready for a bit of friendly competition. We racked up plenty of debt in the Pay Day game and even managed to survive a zombie apocalypse… well, at least some of us did!
The Tournament Begins..
To finish the day, we put our skills to the test in a target archery tournament. Starting with 14 competitors, the highest scores advanced to our top six: Scott, Kuy, David, Ravi, Alex and Wade. With each round, the competition became tougher until only Scott, David and Wade remained. In the end, it came down to David and Wade in the final.
With The Good, the Bad and the Ugly theme playing in the background, it was a tense three-arrow showdown. David shot incredibly well, but our surprise bow-and-arrow legend, Wade, claimed the win and took home the bragging rights for the day.
A Great Day Out
Team-building activities like this are a great way to strengthen relationships, encourage communication, and give everyone the chance to connect outside of the workplace.
