There is an Australian Standard that every termite inspector is required to have when operating their business, Alan shares.
These are the basic tools like;
- The tapper - an extendable rod of steel that is used to check if the timber is solid.
- A ‘good old’ screwdriver is also required for digging into trees and dirt.
- A torch, of course, for when operations go to darker spaces.
- Last but not the least, a moisture meter to indicate the variating moisture levels in timber or any surface.
