At Allure Pest Solutions, protecting homes and businesses is what we do every day but supporting our community is just as important to us.

One of our proudest initiatives this year has been the Allure Charity Spotlight Program, where each month, we’ve highlighted an organisation making a real difference in the lives of others. Along the way, we’ve also participated in community events, made donations and fundraised.

As we reach the halfway point of the year, we wanted to take a moment to look back at the incredible organisations we’ve had the privilege of supporting!

International Women’s Day Fun Run 🩷

Members of the Allure team took part in the International Women’s Day Fun Run, proudly supporting the Mater Chicks in Pink program. We walked through Brisbane joining the ‘Sea of Pink’ to raise awareness and fundraise for women impacted by breast cancer. Each step represented remembrance, strength, and a shared commitment to creating better outcomes for future generations.

Nourish Street Inc.

Nourish Street Inc. supports those without homes in Brisbane. As stated on their website, “Nourish Street Inc. is a grassroots charity led by the Haywood family and powered by the local community, providing essential support to people experiencing homelessness across Brisbane’s Northside. Our work is entirely funded by the community, enabling our volunteers to deliver food, supplies, and dignity to those most in need.” Within the past 14 months they have served 60,000 meals across 6 Brisbane suburbs.

Trademutt & Funky Shirt Friday

Trademutt is an Australian workwear company using bold shirts to spark important conversations around mental health. Once this conversation is started you can refer to their free, professional mental health counseling or simply just be there for them.

Allure was inspired by Trademutt and started our own Funky Shirt Friday. We hope this has and will continue to provide our team members and customers with an opportunity to reach out if they are struggling.

Dayboro Lions Club

As shared with us by The Dayboro Lions Club:

“In the heart of Dayboro, a dedicated group of volunteers is quietly making a powerful difference. The Dayboro Lions Club stands as a shining example of what community spirit can achieve, bringing people together to support one another, strengthen local connections, and improve quality of life for residents of all ages. Entirely volunteer-run, the club is driven by individuals who generously give their time and energy to create meaningful opportunities for connection, support, and service. Their work reaches far beyond simple acts of kindness, it builds a stronger, more resilient community where everyone has the chance to feel included and supported.”

As a business with strong ties to the Dayboro community, we were proud to shine a spotlight on the Dayboro Lions Club and the amazing work they do. From community events and fundraising to supporting local families and projects, they’re always finding ways to give back and make a real difference.

Redkite

Redkite is a charity that supports families facing childhood cancer. One of the things that stood out to our team is how practical and human their support is. When a child is diagnosed with cancer, life changes in an instant. Families are suddenly navigating hospital visits, treatment plans, time off work, financial pressure and emotional stress. Redkite aims to help support the entire family during these times. From helping everyday expenses to mental health support and community.

Animal Welfare League Queensland (AWLQ)

The Animal Welfare League QLD is an organisation dedicated to helping abandoned, surrendered and lost animals a second chance. They provide animals with love, medical care, grooming and support while they wait for their forever homes.

From animal adoptions and foster care to affordable veterinary services, AWLQ makes an incredible difference for animals. As a team of animal lovers, this was a cause especially close to our hearts. We were proud to help share the amazing work they do.

Rett Syndrome Awareness Walk

Back in October Julie and Steven proudly participated in a Rett syndrome awareness walk wearing their purple Allure shirts. This all-purple walk from Manly to Lighthouse park was to shine a light on Rett syndrome. A rare neurological condition that mainly affects girls and can impact speech, movement, and learning. After the walk they enjoyed a sausage sizzle and raffles to contribute to the Rett Syndrome Association of Australia. Be on the lookout for upcoming walks to spread awareness for Rett Syndrome!
